Antique wax seal in mother-of-pearl and silvered metal - France

Elegant and refined antique desk seal (wax seal stamp) dating to the end of the 19th century (Napoleon III Era / Late 19th Century), of clear French manufacture. The object stands out for the splendid baluster handle in precious natural mother-of-pearl with iridescent reflections. On the side of the handle is a refined period engraving in elegant cursive (Anglaise script) bearing the name of a French locality (identifiable as "Avesnes"), evidence of its origin as an exclusive souvenir or high-fashion object of the era. The collar/connecting ring is finely worked in silvered metal with ornamental decorative motifs. The most notable and highly collectible feature is its square matrix, completely VIRGIN (smooth, never incised). The object has never been personalized, preserving its original era manufacturing state as an unopened warehouse find.
