Aram Koupetzian (1928-2017) - Violin 1999 Rare and exceptional cubist work, a major piece by the artist. Beautiful polychrome palette and a perfectly constructed cubist composition. A highly sought-after work. Painted circa 1999, signed and dated at the bottom right, original work. Oil on canvas mounted on canvas: 33 x 19 cm, collage of old sheet music around the violin. Original gallery frame is included: 50x35 cm. A. Koupetzian, pupil of Martiros Sarian (1880-1972), the greatest Armenian artist. Koupetzian became famous for his cubist compositions, called synthetic cubism, initially developed by Braque and Picasso around 1910. After adopting this style in the 1970s, A. Koupetzian significantly developed it, adding depth and colors never seen before. The works are widely present in exhibitions and national museums in Russia, Italy, USA, the United Kingdom and in China. Certificate of authenticity signed by the artist will be handed to the buyer.
