Very beautiful collectible pedestal, especially crafted, consisting of a substantial metallic structure with gold and polychrome decoration. The composition is organized around three heraldic lions in round/spherical relief, arranged around the central support intended to receive the egg. The lions are depicted standing, in a heraldic stance, and are associated with rich decoration including: three heraldic lions; decorative crowns; garlands and vegetal motifs; enamelled or polychrome elements; details in blue; numerous reliefs and gilded ornaments; architectural base resting on several small feet. The whole presents a particularly detailed execution and a substantial weight of about 1 kilogram, giving the pedestal excellent stability. ASSOCIATED MODEL In its design, architecture and especially the characteristic presence of the three heraldic lions, this pedestal shows a strong visual correspondence with the support used for certain collectible reproductions of the Royal Danish Jubilee Egg. This egg model is traditionally presented above a large ornamental three-lion pedestal. The present lot concerns, however, ONLY THE PEDESTAL. The egg, the summit elephant, the box and any certificates are NOT present and are NOT part of the sale. ATTRIBUTION To date, no signature, hallmark or maker's mark has been reliably identified on the accessible parts of the pedestal. The underside is covered with blue velvet, which has deliberately not been removed to preserve the object's integrity. Consequently, despite its very strong resemblance to the Royal Danish Jubilee Egg collection support, this object is offered without formal attribution to House of Fabergé, Tatiana Fabergé or Franklin Mint. The photographs allow each collector to examine precisely its construction, decors and condition. The presence of the three lions, the richness of the decoration and the pedestal's substantial weight give it a remarkable presence. The pedestal may also interest collectors of decorative eggs, imperial-style objects, and items inspired by the Fabergé universe. CONDITION AND PHOTOGRAPHS The item is sold exactly in the condition shown in the photographs. The photographs are an integral part of the description. No major restoration or abrasive cleaning has been performed. The blue velvet under the base has been preserved and has not been peeled away to look for possible inscriptions.
