Armchair - Louis XVI - Wood, Textile

Elegant Louis XVI-style armchair crafted in the 19th century, a piece that reflects the historicist reinterpretation of 18th-century French models highly valued during the nineteenth century. Its structure, executed in carved wood and polished in a warm honey tone, presents a refined design with light lines and balanced proportions, where ornamentation remains restrained and delicate, faithful to the neoclassical spirit characteristic of this style. The backrest adopts an oval shape, framed by a smoothly curved molding and crowned by a molded pediment decorated with a small carved rosette. The open arms, of elegant sinuous curve, rest on pierced supports that provide visual lightness to the set, while the slightly curved front legs integrate harmoniously into the structure through fine longitudinal moldings. Special interest lies in its original upholstery, preserved on the back, seat and armrest. The fabric features a delicate design of vertical stripes in pale pink, cream and ivory, enriched with small floral motifs and neoclassical-inspired medallions. This textile decoration, perfectly in keeping with Louis XVI taste, brings luminosity and an attractive authentic character that increases its historical and decorative value. The width of the seat and the careful ergonomics of the arms make this armchair not only elegant but comfortable, ideal for integrating into classical, romantic or eclectic interiors. Its overall preservation of the original structure and upholstery makes it an excellent testament to the decorative refinement of the 19th century and a piece of great interest for collectors and lovers of French aristocratic-inspired furniture. Tracked shipping and careful packaging.
