Splendid and refined bergère office chair (for living room or escritoire) in the Louis XV style, an excellent example of Revival-era cabinetmaking dating from the late 19th to the early 20th century (circa 1880-1920). The piece features an elegant solid-wood mass with rich hand-carved floral motifs, rococo shells, and the characteristic cabriole legs. The element of greatest value is the Vienna straw backrest (canage), exquisitely pierced, preserved taut and impeccably. The seat and the armrest pads (manchettes) are upholstered in an extremely elegant sage green velvet, finished along the edges with a dense pearled metal studs of antique origin. A piece with great charm and visual impact, ready to furnish exclusive interiors. Condition: The item is in superb vintage condition. The structure is solid and stable. The Vienna straw is perfectly intact, free of holes or sagging. The seat velvet is clean, without tears, stains, or obvious wear. The wood shows a beautiful warm natural patina consistent with the piece’s age.
