Ars Munda - Sculpture

Beautiful, large brutalist wall sculpture produced in the 70s by the German artists’ collective Ars Munda. This impressive vintage piece shows a strongly stylized, organic and abstract form (inspired by nature). It has the characteristic heavy, rugged texture and depth that are so typical of the Brutalist art movement of that period. Material and finish Although the object has the texture and visual weight of glazed ceramics or bronze, it is made of resin (synthetic resin). This was Ars Munda’s specialty: creating high-quality, expressive artworks that, thanks to the material, are less fragile and easier to hang. The sculpture is finished in a striking palette of deep reddish-orange, brown and gold tones with a glossy topcoat, which creates a beautiful dynamic and shadow play on the wall. Dimensions: Length: 57 cm Height/Width: 18 cm Thickness/Depth: 6 cm At the rear is the original mounting system/hook, allowing the object to be mounted flush against the wall. An iconic Mid-Century Modern artwork that fits perfectly in a contemporary, vintage or Hollywood Regency interior.
