Art Deco Toilet set (4) - Uranium glass - Ouraline toiletry set

This Art Deco vanity or desk set consists of four matching pieces made of uranium glass, an antique glass colored with uranium oxide which gives it its characteristic yellow-green shade and a highly intense neon green fluorescence when exposed to ultraviolet light. The lot includes a cylindrical lidded jar, a tumbler with a geometric pattern of points and stars, as well as two elongated trays with coordinated molded designs. The structure of the pieces reveals a superb geometric relief work typical of the nineteen thirties, combining star friezes, parallel lines and radiating rosettes that beautifully catch natural and artificial light. The jar with its lid features a weight of 250 g for a height of 8 cm and a diameter of 7.5 cm. The tumbler also weighs 250 g for a height of 8.5 cm and a diameter of 7 cm. The first unsigned tray has a weight of approximately 100 g with dimensions of 2.5 cm in height, 4.5 cm in width and 13 cm in length. The second tray bears the raised molded inscription Verreries de Scailmont Manage on its outer bottom, and measures 3 cm in height, 5.5 cm in width and 12.5 cm in length for a weight of 150 g. The four pieces together feature a combined total weight of 750 g. The general condition of preservation of all the glassware is good, as the glass shows no major cracks or chips on the bodies or on the faceted knob of the lid.
