Artbook - Nightclubbing Desperados - 1 Album - Limited...

umber 2507 of 3000 copies. This large-format hardcover book (120 pages) with a cloth-bound dust jacket is in near-new condition and gathers more than a hundred illustrations by Serge Clerc, created between 1981 and 1983. With English and French text. It is the sweet scent of the eighties. Serge Clerc's graphic design left its mark on the aesthetics of the eighties. His drawings, which appeared simultaneously in music press in France, England, Japan and the Netherlands, made him an international reference. Serge Clerc, the missing link between the classicism of the Dupuis-era fifties school and the modernity of Métal Hurlant, was a pioneer in the concept of rock-inspired comics. His path crossed that of The Clash, The Cramps and The Police; he roamed the nights of Paris, London, Brussels and New York. Between the driving rhythm of a bass and the fleeting hip movements of a blonde, he also drew frequently.
