Artek - Alvar Aalto - Side table - Walnut, Beech - The 1930s

Very fine stool / side table from the 1930s designed by Alvar Aalto for the Finnish design brand Artek. The pattern in the walnut veneer is star-shaped, also known as sunburst. The world-famous L-legs were introduced by Aalto in 1933 and are known as one of the most important innovations in modernist Scandinavian furniture design. The legs are screwed directly into the underside of the seat, which provides unprecedented stability without intricate joints. The photos are part of the description. Shipped insured.
