Artwork - Ferrari - RAISED TO WIN - HOMMAGE BANKSY - 2024

BORN TO LOSE RAISED TO WIN 01/10 28 x 23 x 6 cm Wooden frame, high-quality synthetic glass. Limited edition 01/10. Catawiki Exclusive With this artwork, Cartist distorts the famous urban rat by Banksy, an iconic street figure, to transform its message into a statement of trajectory and success. The composition portrays the character in a raw, graphic aesthetic, bearing a strong contrast between fatalism and ambition. The inscription frames the work as a visual manifesto: “BORN TO LOSE RAISED TO WIN” Between determinism and revenge, the message shifts the initial perception of the urban symbol toward an affirmation of personal dominance. At the heart of the scene, a Ferrari key introduces a dimension of prestige and desire, turning the underground universe into a projection of contemporary success. Fully handmade in France by Cartist, this piece explores the tension between origin, ambition and ascent, in a direct and powerful visual language. Who is Cartist? Jean Tourangin (Cartist) redefmes contemporary art by merging urban culture and automotive mythology. His works question the transformation of social status through image and symbol. Artwork delivered with frame. Available exclusively on Catawiki.
