A woman sits at the edge of a swimming pool, her feet beneath the surface, her hands resting on the terrace. The stone seems to hold the warmth of the day. Beyond her, a few distant lights mark the shoreline, while the night opens into deep blue. The eye first finds her copper-red hair and the golden light on her skin. Then it follows the circles spreading from her feet. A barely perceptible gesture becomes the movement of the whole foreground. Although her figure occupies one side of the canvas, her presence travels across it. This relationship gives The Night Is Still Warm its character. There is a physical pleasure in the scene: warm stone, cool water, the weight of a body at rest. Her lowered gaze makes the moment feel private, leaving the viewer to imagine what is on her mind. Colour gives that experience its intensity. Cobalt and turquoise meet copper, ochre and deep green. The angular poolside anchors the composition, while curved reflections and sweeping marks keep the surrounding space in motion. Visible brushwork carries the eye between figure, water and sky, bringing the different parts of the painting into a shared rhythm. At 150 × 90 cm, the horizontal canvas gives these contrasts room to unfold. From a distance, the figure and luminous water create a strong focal point; closer viewing reveals the changing colours and individual marks that build the scene. This is an original, hand-painted work by ASH — a unique piece, not a reproduction or print. The painting will be shipped rolled in a protective tube, without a stretcher or decorative frame. Extra canvas margins on all sides allow it to be stretched onto a wooden stretcher frame after delivery.
