Cotton fabric – Aso Oke – Yoruba – Nigeria This cotton fabric is made in the tradition of Aso Oke, the prestigious woven textile associated with Yoruba communities in Nigeria. Known for its carefully assembled bands, its structured motifs and the richness of its compositions, Aso Oke occupies an important place in ceremonies, prestige outfits and landmark life events. The meticulous cotton weaving reveals artisanal know-how passed down through generations and gives the textile a texture and presence that are particularly refined. With its graphic elegance and textile richness, this piece integrates as well into a collection of African textiles as into a contemporary interior. Its motifs and material create a sophisticated dialogue between Yoruba textile heritage and a contemporary aesthetic. A textile with character for enthusiasts and collectors sensitive to artisanal know-how, noble materials, and the cultural richness of West Africa.
