ATTRIBUTED TO THEODORE DECK: A 19TH CENTURY CERAMIC MOSQUE LAMP IN THE PERSIAN TASTE of characteristic form for the Islamic market, with round body, wide flaring mouth and circular foot, decorated in blue, red and white, the body with an Arabic inscription on cobalt blue ground with light blue foliate tendrils, the neck with roundels depicting a horse flanked by further calligryphic text, the foot with scrolling leaves, unsigned, 33cm high For a very similar mosque lamp, unsigned and attributed to Deck, see Sotheby's, London, 1 April 2009, lot 220.
