Dessin Aubusson Chine Aubusson handwoven, floral decoration with a central floral medallion. Sold with its certificate of authenticity. The weaving workmanship as well as the quality of the materials used for the weaving are exactly identical to the original. Quality productions and the craft’s experience have continued to such an extent that sometimes, even experts have difficulty distinguishing some of these new tapestries from Aubusson tapestries dating from the late 19th century. Nevertheless, it allows the general public to access these products and to have in their interiors Aubusson-style rugs and tapestries with the same look and the same workmanship as the old Aubusson tapestries, once reputed to be unaffordable.
