Aurélie Lafourcade - Notre famille - Limited Deluxe Edition

Our family — These bonds that unite us in the face of the immense There are moments when the world seems to fade away, leaving only what is essential: being together. Our family lifts us above a shore bathed in light, where the turquoise waters of the ocean come to kiss the golden sand. The waves unfold into a lace of white foam, drawing a movement that is at once powerful and delicate. At the heart of this immensity, three small silhouettes stand side by side, their long shadows stretching across the sand. Almost imperceptible beside the grandeur of the ocean, they embody what gives this composition its full strength: the beauty of the bonds that unite us. This work evokes those simple, precious moments shared with loved ones. Vacation memories, strolls along the water’s edge, moments of complicity that remain etched in our memories. Facing the power of nature, these three silhouettes remind us that it is not the vastness of the world that matters, but the people with whom we choose to travel through it. More than a sea landscape, Notre famille is an invitation to celebrate love, belonging, and those invisible ties that accompany us throughout our lives. From lived landscapes to imagined landscapes Originating from Guyana and living in the south of France, Aurélie Lafourcade nourishes her artistic universe with a deep attachment to nature, to wide open spaces, and to the sea. From the graphic arts, she combines photography, digital creation, and the play of light to compose landscapes where reality and imagination meet. Through her creations, she does not simply seek to represent a place, but to convey an emotion: that of a travel memory, a moment of freedom, or a landscape in which everyone can find a part of their own story.
