The coin shows the portrait of Andreas Hofer with the inscription ‘TIROLER FREIHEIT’ and the years 1809–1959. The other side shows the Tyrolean eagle, surrounded by the coats of arms of the Austrian federal states. 50 schillings 1967 – 100 Jahre Donauwalzer Issued to commemorate the hundredth anniversary of the famous Danube Waltz by Johann Strauss II. The coin depicts the composer while playing the violin, with the inscription ‘100 JAHRE DONAUWALZER’. The other side bears the denomination, surrounded by the coats of arms of the federal states.
