AUSTRIA. Vienna. 1 Schilling. 1926. - Value: 1 Schilling. - Year: 1926. - Inscriptions: EIN SCHILLING around the Austrian shield surrounded by laurel branches; REPUBLIK OESTERREICH with representation of the Vienna Parliament and the date at the bottom. - Grade: MS64 (NGC). Silver coin belonging to the first issues of the First Republic of Austria after the dissolution of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. The obverse shows the national shield flanked by laurel branches, a symbol of stability and sovereignty of the new republican state, while the reverse features a detailed view of the Vienna Parliament building, with excellent architectural definition and good depth in the reliefs. The specimen retains an attractive original luster with clean fields and well-defined reliefs, in keeping with the MS64 grade, making it a particularly appealing piece within this emblematic Austrian republican series.
