This miniature work was distributed in ultra-confidential fashion, initially reserved for a dealer sale series for VIP clients and brand partners. Produced in only 75 copies worldwide, this lot bears the precious number 56 / 75. A unique opportunity to acquire a rare, unobtainable miniature, signed by one of the great masters of high-end miniature craftsmanship. HISTORY AND DETAILS OF THE REAL MODEL: The Prodrive-developed Ferrari 550 Maranello GTS is one of the most legendary racing versions of the modern era. Under its long front hood roars an engineering masterpiece: a 5.9-liter (5,850 cm³) naturally aspirated V12 engine developing more than 600 horsepower, coupled to a 6-speed Xtrac sequential gearbox. Thanks to extensive use of carbon fiber for the bodywork, the real car’s weight was reduced to only 1,100 kg. The model presented here (Reference AB 203-S) perfectly reproduces the chassis of the Veloqx Prodrive Racing team, bearing the number 88. During the 2003 24 Hours of Le Mans, this legendary car rose to glory by brilliantly winning the GTS category (10th overall), driven by the legendary trio Peter Kox, Tomas Enge and Jamie Davies.
