At the center of the series is the duality of things: as different as structure and color are, they fit together perfectly here. Each on its own is independent and strong. Yet only together does the balance emerge that supports the work. Painted on raw, untreated cotton canvas, the material’s texture remains visible and gives each piece its unmistakable character. About the artist: AVENZANO is a professional painter. He lives and works in his studio in Germany. Influenced by the elegance of Italian design, the roughness of Brazilian Brutalism, and the clarity of contemporary minimalism, his works are characterized by strong graphical elements and a natural, earthy color palette. His body of work is defined as much by what he brings to the canvas as by what he leaves out. Central to his work is the aesthetic concept of Wabi-Sabi: the belief that beauty lies not in perfection, but in imperfection, irregularity, and authenticity.
