At the center of the series is the duality of things: as different as structure and color may be, they fit together here so perfectly. Each one independent and strong in itself. Yet only together does the balance emerge that sustains the work. Painted on raw, untreated cotton canvas, the texture of the material remains visible and gives each piece its unmistakable character. About the artist: AVENZANO is a professional painter. He lives and works in his studio in Germany. Influenced by the elegance of Italian design, the rawness of Brazilian Brutalism, and the clarity of contemporary minimalism, his works are characterized by strong graphic elements and a natural, earthy color palette. His practice is defined as much by what he brings to the canvas as by what he leaves out. At the center of his work is the aesthetic concept of Wabi-Sabi: the belief that beauty lies not in perfection, but in imperfection, irregularity, and authenticity.
