Baccarat - Drinking glass (9) - Crystal

Crystal cut glass water goblets by Baccarat or St Louis, Gondole model, listed in the catalog, with a decoration on the cup of flat ribs. In this model – small differences depending on the production year – pieces with a “water drop” foot (red label) and others with a “baluster” foot (yellow label). The foot is cut by the Master Glassmaker – entirely handmade work, hence some imperfections. This model has been extended to wine glasses, tastings, liqueur, and decanter. Production before 1936, as there is no maker’s mark. Before 1936, the two Manufactures Baccarat and St Louis – renowned worldwide for their excellence – existing since the 18th century – produced the same models, the same catalogs, with no marks on the objects. From 1936 onward, they separated and established a single catalog and a different hallmark on each produced object. 4 glasses with a foot "water drop" – 12 flat ribs at the base of the cup. Height 15 cm to 15.5 cm – base diameter 7.5 cm to 8 cm – drinking diameter 7.9 cm to 9 cm – rib height on the drinking part 4.5 cm. 5 glasses with a foot "balustre" – 13 flat ribs at the base of the cup. Height 14.8 cm to 15 cm – base diameter 7.1 cm to 7.5 cm – drinking diameter 8 cm to 8.3 cm – rib height on the cup 4.2 cm. All together weighing 2.3 kg without packaging.
