A pair of matching measuring instruments, made of mahogany and rosewood veneer in a butterfly-wing design, with a chiselled brass plate. Late 18th century or early 19th century. Height: 102.5 cm. (In good overall condition, some signs of wear, one loose part on one of the pieces). Swietenia mahagoni and Dalbergia spp. (II/B). Pre-Convention specimen.
