Baroque style Crucifix - Oak - 1910-1920 - Antique wooden Corpus Christi

Antique/Vintage Hand-Carved Wooden Corpus Christi – Oval Gilded Frame with Glass/Resin Blood Droplets Description: A highly unusual and finely detailed devotional Corpus Christi (Christ on the Cross), mounted on a luxurious burgundy velvet background within an elegant oval gilded frame. Craftsmanship & Material: The figure of Christ is meticulously hand-carved from solid wood, showing expressive facial features, detailed anatomy, and draped loincloth. Unique Feature (Blood Details): What makes this piece exceptionally rare and collectible is the representation of the Holy Wounds / blood drops across the body and forehead. These droplets are crafted from glossy red glass beads (or enamel/glass-like cabochons) inlaid into the wood, catching the light and creating a striking 3D visual effect. Frame & Backing: Displayed in a heavy oval frame with a classic gilded finish, backed with deep burgundy velvet that accentuates the warm wooden tones of the sculpture. Condition: Good antique/vintage condition with authentic signs of age, light wear to the wood patina, and natural aging on the frame, adding to its historical charm (please inspect photos for details).
