Bart Lenaerts - RUF Book – The Limited Edition - 2019

I propose the absolute reference book (and the only one available) on the Porsche tuner who became a manufacturer based on Porsche: RUF. "RUF Book - The Limited edition" is a cult book for all Porsche enthusiasts. Published in two volumes in November 2019, limited to 911 copies (here No. 377), the 911 copies sold out in one month and, since then, have become unobtainable. The story begins in 1939, the year the auto shop "Auto Ruf" was opened by Alois Ruf Sr. He becomes a Fiat dealer in 1958 and a BMW dealer in 1963. From the mid-1960s, Ruf specializes in maintenance and repair of Porsche cars. The founder dies in 1974 and his son, Alois Jr., at 24, takes over the company. His objective is to build optimized Porsche 911s and, as early as 1977, he obtains Porsche’s approval to prepare and optimize Porsche models. The first, in 1977, will be the Ruf-Porsche Turbo Number One. From 1983, the cars will bear the name RUF. The first volume narrates the story of Ruf and the second studies each of the 37 models prepared by RUF from 1977 to 2019 based on 911G, 964, 993, Boxster, 996, 997, 991, the CTR and SCR, Ruf’s pure creations, and the Cayenne. Both books are housed in an elegant green clamshell box, in new condition. An exceptional opportunity to treat yourself to these 2 unobtainable volumes.
