BASF Chrome Super II 90 – original 10-pack – Type II Chrome – 1989 Original 10-pack BASF Chrome Super II 90 audio cassettes from 1989, hailing from the heyday of the analog cassette. The Chrome Super II was a high-quality IEC Type II / High Position cassette from BASF, featuring a double-layer genuine chromium dioxide formulation. This generation also received a reinforced precision housing, referred to by BASF as a “Transversally Reinforced Cassette,” designed for a stable tape path and accurate recording and playback. The cassettes have a playing time of 90 minutes, 2 × 45 minutes, with 135 meters of tape. The tapes have been tested and perform excellently. I have made recordings with them and the recording quality is still superb: clear, detailed, and with very little noise. This is therefore not only an interesting collectible, but also a lot of cassettes that are still perfectly usable for high-quality analog recordings. The original BASF 10-pack is present. The packaging and cassettes are in beautiful vintage condition, with normal light signs of storage and aging. See the photos for an accurate impression of the condition. You can, however, strongly emphasize that this is the original 10-pack and that the recording quality has indeed been tested.
