Beatles - From Then To You - rare 1970 fan club members...

I have collected records for over 50 years, mainly The Beatles and related and other classic rock and pop artists mainly from the 60s and 70s. It is now time to thin out my collection and I will be doing this exclusively via auction through Catawiki over the next few months so keep an eye out for these, this collection has taken nearly a lifetime to put together. I was always careful as I only wanted a minimum of EX condition with the odd exception when the rarity of the record was such that I had to compromise and was obsessed as a completist to ensure that all inserts were present along with the correct contents and inners. PLEASE NOTE: I AM AWAY TILL 6TH NOVEMBER SO WILL BE UNABLE TO SHIP THIS ITEM TILL 9TH NOVEMBER. 1970 UK pressing compilation LP of all the 7 previous Christmas singles (1963-1969) which were sent exclusively and complimentary as this LP was to all Beatle fan club members. This record was heavily bootlegged and to confirm authenticity this genuine example bears the clean machine stamped (not hand etched) matrices to the run out dead wax on each side in addition to the West Brothers Printers Ltd London printers credit to the rear of the sleeve. In addition there is a factory miss-press to this copy in that the matrix numbers stamped to the run out dead wax are reversed so that the number LYN 2154 is stamped to side 1 run out and LYN 2153 is stamped to side 2. Pressed on dark green Apple company labels and housed in front laminated sleeve with plain white patent No paper inner sleeve. MATRIX No - LYN 2154/LYN 2153 VINYL VISUAL - EX(-) Both sides retain original clean gloss sheen and only upon closer inspection in full daylight are few needle and sleeve removal marks visible. VINYL PLAY - VG My test play to all tracks revealed clear play to both side however there is clicks and static throughout, none of which are loud and don’t interrupt or spoil the general listen and certainly no skips or jumps. LABELS - EX Clean set with a few faint spindle trails only visible upon closer scrutiny. SLEEVE - GOOD Front laminated panel has faint disc wear and disc storage impression with a few laminate surface wrinkle creases, there is a 3.5cm rectangular shaped tape residue mark to top right corner, Matt rear panel has more noticeable age discoloration and surface damage approx 20 x 6cm max to bottom edge, (please refer to photos) this however is to the surface only and the sleeve remains fully intact, all edges and corners only bear minor wear even the opening edge, but for the surface damage would have graded VG. INNER SLEEVE: EX Very light ageing and disc impression no tears or seam splits. This record was sent exclusively to members of The Official Beatles Fan club as were all the previous Xmas flexi singles, by the time this record was sent out the band had already split therefore the fan club numbers had reduced somewhat, and while there is no doubt the condition of this record is not as I would prefer this I feel is mitigated by the albums rarity. Therefore this is a unique opportunity to acquire what is one of the rarer highly desirable and sought after records from this era, not only the rarity of the album itself but with the addition of the miss-press makes this even rarer, don’t miss out on this chance, you may not get another one.
