All auctions / Music & Musical Instruments / Beatles - Lady Madonna / The Inner Light (UK) – 1st...
A highly desirable UK 1st pressing of Lady Madonna / The Inner Light by The Beatles on Parlophone R 5675, distinguished by the rare solid centre design and the inclusion of the original Beatles Fan Club insert. This 1968 single represents an important moment in the band's output, released during a notably productive period. The solid centre variant is markedly scarcer than the push-out centre copies that dominate most collections, making this an exceptional find for serious Beatles collectors. The presence of the original fan club insert adds considerable historical interest and completeness to the piece. ⸻ Sleeve (VG): General wear is evident, consistent with age and handling, with light surface marks and some minor edge wear. The overall presentation remains clean and presentable → VG Insert (Original): The original Beatles Fan Club insert is included. The insert shows age and light wear but remains intact and readable. Vinyl (VG+): The vinyl is glossy and well preserved, with only light hairlines and minimal surface marks visible. Playback is strong and clear throughout, with no significant issues or distortion, grading a solid VG+ → VG+ ⸻ Details * UK 1st pressing * Parlophone R 5675 * Solid centre (rare variant) * Original Beatles Fan Club insert included * Black Parlophone label * 45 RPM 7" single * Made in Gt.
