Beatles - Let It Be – RARE New Zealand 1970 1st Pressing...

A scarce original 1970 New Zealand first pressing of The Beatles' Let It Be, issued locally on Apple Records under the distinctive catalogue number PCSM 7096. New Zealand Beatles pressings have always possessed a character of their own, often employing locally manufactured sleeves and label designs that differ noticeably from the familiar UK editions. For Let It Be, New Zealand uniquely assigned the catalogue number PCSM 7096, documented as the original New Zealand issue from 1970. The record is housed in a locally manufactured non-flipback sleeve bearing the PCSM 7096 catalogue number printed on the rear, together with the characteristic red Apple Records logo and EMI logo at the bottom. This is one of the more fascinating international variations of Let It Be, particularly appealing to collectors building country-by-country Beatles collections. ⸻ Sleeve (VG+): The original New Zealand sleeve remains structurally sound and presents well overall. There is some light creasing and age-related handling visible, but no major structural damage. The sleeve retains the distinctive locally produced New Zealand presentation and grades a solid VG+. Inner Sleeve: Original period inner sleeve included. Vinyl Audio VG+ (Sleeve = VG): The record clearly shows evidence of previous play, with numerous visible hairlines and superficial marks across both sides together with general playwear. The marks are predominantly superficial and not feelable. Visually grading VG, playback is noticeably stronger and remains very enjoyable overall, delivering approximately VG+ audio quality. ⸻ Details * New Zealand first pressing * Apple Records PCSM 7096 * Stereo * Non-flipback locally manufactured sleeve * Original inner sleeve included * Made in New Zealand
