Beatles - Sgt

A highly desirable original 1967 UK first stereo pressing of Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, featuring the original YEX 637-1 / YEX 638-1 matrices and complete with the iconic Peter Blake cut-out sheet. Released in June 1967, Sgt. Pepper remains one of the defining albums of the psychedelic era and one of the most elaborate British LP productions of the decade. This copy carries the classic black-and-yellow Parlophone labels associated with the original UK stereo issue, together with the period K/T purchase-tax code. ⸻ Sleeve (VG+) The original fully laminated gatefold sleeve remains structurally strong and presents very nicely. There is some visible spine wear, with approximately 90% of the spine text remaining readable. Light age-related handling and modest general wear are evident throughout, yet the lamination retains good sheen and the artwork remains attractive. A solid VG+ example overall. Insert The original dark green cardboard Peter Blake cut-out sheet is present and included—an important and highly desirable component of the first-issue presentation. Also included is a Swedish News paper about the release Sgt.Pepper. Vinyl (VG+) The vinyl retains good original gloss but shows clear signs of previous play. Light grey sheen and general playwear are visible, with a number of fine superficial hairlines across both sides. Side 1 carries one longer visible surface mark, though importantly this is not feelable. No major deep scratches are present, and the record remains a solid VG+ example overall. ⸻ Details * UK first stereo pressing * Original 1967 release * Parlophone PCS 7027 * Black-and-yellow Parlophone labels * K/T purchase-tax code * Fully laminated gatefold sleeve * Original Peter Blake cut-out sheet included * Stereo ⸻ Matrix / Stampers * Side 1: YEX 637-1 / 3 LL * Side 2: YEX 638-1 / 3 TG
