Beautiful 7-piece collection of Japanese Satsuma...

A beautiful and authentic 7-piece collection of Japanese Satsuma porcelain/ceramics, richly decorated with the traditional Moriage technique (raised enamel and gilded reliefs). The pieces depict traditional scenes with Buddhist sages (Arhats / Lohans) and the goddess Kannon, surrounded by floral motifs and detailed geometric patterns. The collection consists of: - 4x Incense burners (Koro) on elegant feet with accompanying pierced and figurative lids (including Shishi-lion). - 3x Vases in varied sizes and styles, including a handsome vase with a deep cobalt-blue background and two polychrome baluster vases. Specifications: - Origin: Japan - Period: Early 20th century (Taisho / early Showa period) - Material: Earthenware / porcelain with Moriage enamel and gilding - Marks: Several pieces are marked on the underside (including cherry blossom marks and studio/factory stamps); one piece is unmarked, entirely consistent with these early productions. - Condition: In very good condition with minimal, age-appropriate traces on the gilding. No cracks, breaks or restorations (see photos for an accurate impression). Carefully professionally packaged and shipped by registered mail/insured with Track & Trace.
