Curated collection of antique, vintage and modern rugs Beautiful Antique Persian Sultanabad Rug circa 1920's Size: 11 ft 7 in x 8 ft 1 in (3.53 m x 2.46 m) Provenance: Property of a retired New York dealer A beautifully colored antique Sultanabad distinguished by a soft powder-blue field decorated with generously scaled floral motifs in ivory, coral, apricot and muted green. The open drawing and gently faded coloration give the carpet the relaxed elegance sought by collectors and interior designers. Blue-ground Sultanabads with this degree of decorative softness are especially desirable, and its practical room size adds considerably to its appeal.
