When gemologists first brought the previously unknown, deep blue gemstones from the steppes of Tanzania to New York in 1967, Tiffany & Co. immediately recognized their extraordinary potential. The renowned jewellery house secured the exclusive marketing rights and gave the rare mineral the name it is still known by today: Tanzanite - named after the country in which it was found. This gemstone is around a thousand times rarer than a diamond and has become one of the most sought-after stones in modern jewelry due to its fascinating colour palette - from delicate violet to intense royal blue. This model, which we designed with great attention to detail and which was masterfully crafted by our goldsmith, has a special place in our collection. At the center of the ring is an exquisite tanzanite of around 0.60 carats, cut in a radiant star cut. The gemstone is set in platinum and is flanked by delicate leaves set with diamonds. Two larger diamonds in simple bezel settings gently transition to the ring band. Made from sustainably recycled platinum, the ring is trimmed, polished and engraved by hand in our workshop and the gemstones are set with the utmost precision. We have designed the ring so that it is ideal for everyday wear: Without annoying prongs that could pull on fabrics, and with the lowest possible setting that still shows off the luminous tanzanite to its best advantage. With its rare center stone, this ring stands for the precious moments in life - whether as a symbol of deep connection or as an expression of special beauty.
