Beautiful Vintage Gold Chain from Friedrich Binder, Mönsheim Around 1955

In the early years of the Federal Republic, precious gold jewelry was one of the indispensable status symbols of the bourgeoisie and golden jewels fulfilled the dreams of the ladies of the time. After the deprivation of the war years, the economic miracle brought new wealth and made it possible to fulfill these luxurious needs. This necklace, which we discovered in Havelland, comes from this period of regained joie de vivre. The necklace is made from solid 14-karat yellow gold and fits comfortably around the neck. The necklace features the decorative Garibaldi pattern in round links that become larger towards the middle in a graduated pattern. Small gold beads enliven the design. A beautiful gold necklace from the 1950s with fine details from the manufactory founded by Friedrich Binder in Mönsheim in 1910.
