Benjamin Rabier - Gedeon Mecano - 1927

Captivating edition of this illustrated album by Benjamin Rabier featuring the famous duck Gédéon in an adventure under the sign of technique, invention and mechanical progress, themes particularly fascinating for the interwar public - Always animated by insatiable curiosity and boundless enthusiasm, Gédéon discovers the world of machines and soon nourishes the ambition to become a mechanic capable of understanding, repairing and even designing various devices - Charmed by the wonders of modern mechanics, he launches into a series of experiments that lead him to handle tools, engines, vehicles and ingenious devices, often with more goodwill than real skill - This new passion gives rise to a succession of comical situations where the hero's projects frequently turn to the unexpected.
