Large sculpture group with Mary and the Child Jesus on a donkey, accompanied by Joseph with a raised torch. The depiction refers to the flight of the Holy Family to Egypt to escape Herod's persecution. Mary bows her head to the child and keeps him sheltered against her, while Joseph turns toward them. The carving is carefully executed in the faces, the flowing strands of hair, and the deeply incised mantle folds. The painting in gentle tones is complemented by gold-colored accents.
