Beyond the Shimmering Forest - Amanda Horvath

Beyond the Shimmering Forest by Amanda Horvath Painting 31.0 x 31.0 :: This serene piece is a lyrical interpretation of a forest inspired by the gentle rhythms of nature. Expressive brushstrokes capture the dance of sunlight filtering through a leafy canopy casting a warm golden glow onto a mosaic-like forest floor of turquoise copper and gold. Infused with a touch of fantasy and quiet nostalgia the painting evokes a dreamlike tranquillity. An original Artwork one of a Kind this unique painting has been created using high-quality acrylic paints on a deep-edged canvas. My creative process begins with direct observation of the location where I make sketches notes and take photographs. Back in the studio I work intuitively first building up base layers with a brush before applying successive layers of impasto using a palette knife. I draw inspiration from both Impressionist optical mixing techniques and traditional methods used by the old masters such as scumbling and glazing. These layered approaches allow the work to evolve organically until it reaches a natural and resolved conclusion. The final piece is a contemporary painting that balances abstraction with realism. The carefully applied palette knife strokes create a texture and luminosity that have been likened to stained glass or mosaic. For shipping the painting will be packaged flat in a reinforced cardboard box and will arrive ready to hang with a certificate of authenticity. :: Type: Painting Medium: Acrylic Style: Contemporary Subject: Landscape Width: 31.0 Height: 31.0 Depth: 1.5 Weight: 2 lbs Framed: no :: All art on Zatista is original and signed.
