BITERMINATED

From our selection of collectible minerals we present a rare group of Smoky Quartz crystals with Orthoclase from Sardinia. Additionally, it is characterized by a main bi-terminated Smoky Quartz crystal with black-gray tones, flanked by smaller crystals and adorned at the base by a pink Orthoclase crystal, with a marked chromatic contrast between the two species that increases its aesthetic value and mineralogical importance. The specimen stands out for the quality of crystallization and for the overall aesthetic balance, with features that highlight its natural structure and visual impact. The characteristic brown-smoky color of quartz is due to color centers linked to trace amounts of aluminum in the crystal lattice, activated by natural radiation present in the surrounding rocks. Sardinia, with its pegmatites and hydrothermal veins, represents an uncommon provenance for this combination of smoky quartz and pink orthoclase, highly appreciated by collectors. Orthoclase, a potassium feldspar, often owes its pinkish hues to traces of iron present in the crystal structure. This is an ideal specimen for mineral collections, display, and for those who appreciate the natural beauty of minerals, also in the context of crystal therapy and lithotherapy, according to the properties traditionally associated with the mineral species. All minerals are 100% natural and untreated, with rare exceptions always noted in the description. Photographs are taken with professional lighting to best enhance colors and details; however, slight tonal variations may occur depending on the device or ambient light.
