Take a good look at all the photos. The black‑footed or Japanese marten (ニホンテン, Nihon-ten?) (Martes melampus) is a carnivorous mammal species in the Mustelidae family, genus Martes. Endemic to the Japanese archipelago. This species, very rare and difficult to observe, is reputed to change completely in appearance between its summer and winter fur. Taxidermy in excellent condition, sublime. Mounted on a log, itself fixed on a plaster base to be displayed, the colors and expression of the animal are sublime. The very full coat is of exquisite softness. The last shot shows this unmounted specimen displayed in a Gallery in Japan. The mounting was carried out by a professional in France. An object of great tenderness, specialists classify this specimen as the most difficult of the various martens to obtain. It could not be present for you here and only here on Catawiki. Not to be missed. (All our packages are securely packaged using materials specifically adapted, and sent by Colissimo, with the tracking number provided, no later than the day after your payment, excluding weekends and public holidays).
