Black lacquered sideboard with soapstone inlays from...

Black lacquered wooden sideboard/bar, hand-decorated with gilded motifs: floral medallions, volutes, and traditional good-luck symbols on the front panels. The upper surface lifts and opens in a four-panel fan, decorated inside with peony branches in red and gold lacquer and small floral motifs. The lid, when raised, reveals a panel with a court scene: three musicians playing the Pan flute, the guqin, and the pipa. The figures are carved in polychrome relief soapstone on a background of gold-painted architectural elements. The upper inner compartment is lacquered and decorated with small gold flowers. Below it is a two-door compartment with ladies in a garden, banana plants and a relief soapstone picket fence, with a central lock and darkened metal hinges. The two side panels each feature a small door with compositions of flowers, branches, and little birds in polychrome soapstone relief. RITIRO A MANO GRATUITO
