Blair Hughes-Stanton (1902-1981), wood engraving on paper, Proclaim the Bridegroom, son of the sleepless sun, 21.6cm x 13cm, mounted, glazed and framed. From Epithalamion, published by the Gemini Press and printed by hand by the artist on Basingwerk Parchment in a limited edition in 1934. Ed. 146/330. The engravings from Epithalamion are considered some of Hughes-Stanton’s greatest works and indeed won him the International Prize at the Venice Biennale in 1938
