GENERAL: BMW 850i Coupe E31 from 1991. Officially presented at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 1989, the E31 Series 8 was conceived as the Bavarian brand’s flagship, notable for its advanced aerodynamic design with a drag coefficient of only 0.29, retractable headlights, and the absence of a B-pillar. This unit in particular has had only 3 previous owners. It was originally purchased in Germany in October 1991 and later registered in Spain in November 1997. In July 2001 it passed to its second owner, a collector and enthusiast of the E31 model who kept it for 19 years. In July 2020 it was acquired by its current owner, who has barely used it and kept it in a private garage under a protective cover while carrying out fine-tuning work to leave it impeccable. The vehicle is in perfect condition of preservation, totally free of rust and smoke-free, as it has never been smoked inside. BODYWORK AND PAINT: Bodywork in impeccable condition and completely rust-free. The vehicle has been repainted entirely by professionals in its original color, Brilliant Red (code 308), to refresh its appearance, at a cost of €3,500. Equipped with original BMW Style 37 (M Parallel) 18-inch wheels, mounted on four new Goodyear tires sized 235/40/R18 on the front axle and 275/35/R18 on the rear. MECHANICS: Equipped with the legendary 5.0-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine (BMW M70 B50) delivering 300 HP, paired with a 4-speed automatic transmission. The engine runs with maximum smoothness, starts first time, and delivers excellent power delivery with no unusual noises. Compression has been checked with correct values on all 12 cylinders. All routine maintenance is up to date, the last being performed in August 2026 with engine oil change, oil filter, air filters, fuel filters, brake fluid, and coolant. Two new Bosch batteries have been installed, four brake discs with new pads, NGK spark plugs, Bosch ignition coils, ignition cables, distributors and Bremi rotors. All 12 injectors have been bench-tested and ultrasonically cleaned, and the fuel pump assembly has been replaced (€1,800) along with the intake manifold gaskets (€1,200). The suspension and steering have been checked, a new hydraulic pump installed, and the steering box rebuilt (€700). The air conditioning system has been recharged and works perfectly in both cold and hot conditions. INTERIOR: The interior is immaculate and has been completely dismantled for a thorough professional cleaning and restoration of necessary parts, including full headliner reupholstery. It features two-tone Buffalo leather sport seats in black and gray, BMW M-Tech II sport steering wheel, automatic climate control, electric rear shade, BMW Business RDS cassette radio, electric seats, four electric windows, electrically adjustable mirrors, and centralized locking. All components and systems in the cabin are fully functional. DOCUMENTATION: The vehicle has Spanish ITV (MOT) valid until 10/07/2027. It is delivered with full ITV history, partial mileage history, invoices for numerous parts and repairs performed, and the original books and manuals of the car. PICKUP: The vehicle can be viewed without obligation in Benidorm, Alicante (Spain). The buyer will bear the shipping costs, though the seller can assist in finding economical transport options for shipment to any part of Europe.
