Bonacina - Franco Albini - Margherita - Chair - Wicker

The Margherita armchair is part of the permanent collection of the leading and most renowned museums dedicated to industrial design, furniture, and modern and contemporary art. During the IX Milan Triennale, Franco Albini presented a series of furniture commissioned by La Rinascente, including two armchairs in Malacca and rattan, which were respectively named Gala and Margherita. Albini uses a refined technical tensioning system to revive the original principle, enabling him to create a light seating form that is not based on the concept of a structure that must be upholstered, but in which the upholstery itself forms the load-bearing system. He won the gold medal at the IX Milan Triennale. This chair was manufactured and sold by the company "Bonacina" in 1951. It is in very good condition, with some signs of aging, but is fully solid and functional. Dimensions: 95 x 73 x 85 cm. Within the Netherlands or Belgium, shipping (personal delivery due to fragility) is 100 euros. For shipping outside the Netherlands or Belgium, it is only possible at your own risk. So in the Netherlands and Belgium it is delivered personally by us. Outside the Netherlands and Belgium, pickup only, after contacting us, the seller.
