**Rotating Library Bookcase – Edwardian Era, England, early 20th century** Elegant **rotating library bookcase** of English manufacture, made in fine wood and datable to the **Edwardian era**, in the early years of the 20th century. The square-footprint structure is organized on four open sides with practical shelves intended for the display and consultation of volumes, in a furniture typology much appreciated in private libraries and English professional studies. The piece features a refined top surface veneered with suggestive flame-like grain, enhanced by a molded profile that underscores its elegance. The slender vertical uprights give the whole a sense of lightness without compromising structural solidity, while the swivel base, mounted on original casters, allows convenient consultation of the books from every side. Functional and decorative at the same time, this bookcase represents an excellent example of English library furniture, capable of combining practicality, build quality, and sober elegance. It preserves a pleasant patina of age and signs of use consistent with the age of the artifact.
