Sensational chandelier of the Art Deco era by Boris Lacroix around 1925/1930. Jean-Boris Lacroix, (1902–1984) was a prominent French designer and interior architect and is known for his extraordinary lamp objects. The opal glasses, comparable to glass art works by Lalique and other artists of the period, bear his monogram LA+ (L/A or Lacroix monogram with a cross), see detail photos and an excerpt from the original lamp catalog with very similar lamp models. The lamp is a stylistically defining example of the Art Deco era and the craftsmanship of that time. All parts of the lamp are guaranteed to be original as assembled; it is guaranteed to be an original lamp. The stylized birds are echoed on the glasses and the silver-plated bronze mount. In the illuminated state, the bluish glasses glow from amber to opal colors. The electrical system has been professionally renewed; the five-arm mount and glasses are in very good condition. Great Art Deco–typical details and geometries. Indirect ceiling lighting with three additional light points. Original bayonet fittings in good condition; the lamp can be fitted with LED B22 bulbs from retail. Very secure shipping in double-padded cardboard, insured, with separate packaging for each individual glass. Shipping within the European Union.
