Chinese Peachbloom-Glazed Bottle Vase Qing Dynasty, 19th century A finely potted Chinese porcelain bottle vase covered in an attractive and richly mottled peachbloom-style glaze, dating to the late Qing dynasty. The vase is elegantly formed with a compressed pear-shaped body rising from a slightly spreading foot to a tall cylindrical neck. The neck is covered in a vivid mottled glaze of pinkish-red and liver tones, gradually transitioning into a darker copper-green oxidized glaze over the body and lower sections. The natural variation and transmutation of the glaze create a striking painterly effect highly admired in monochrome Qing porcelains. The interior and recessed base are coated in a pale white glaze, while the unglazed foot rim shows characteristic firing discoloration from the kiln process. Although inspired by the celebrated Kangxi-period peachbloom wares produced for the imperial court, this example reflects the continued appreciation and revival of such sophisticated monochrome glazes during the 19th century. Dimensions: H 18 × W 11 cm Condition: Overall in good condition with one minor hairline crack of approximately 1 cm to the rim of the neck. No other chips, cracks, or restorations observed. Please examine the images carefully. Small imperfections and kiln-firing flaws are not always described in detail. The written condition report is indicative only; the photographs provide the definitive and binding description of the item’s condition. Shipping: The item will be securely packed and shipped with insurance.
