Bowmore 22 years old Sauternes Cask Finish - 70cl

Up for auction: An extraordinary and highly distinguished Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky: Bowmore 22 Years Old Sauternes Cask Finish from the prestigious Travel Exclusive Series. Founded in 1779 on the shores of Loch Indaal, Bowmore is the oldest licensed distillery on Islay and home to the legendary No. 1 Vaults. Renowned for its perfectly balanced spirit combining gentle peat smoke, coastal brine, and rich orchard fruit character. This complex 22-year-old single malt was first matured in American oak ex-bourbon casks before undergoing a refined finishing period in hand-selected French Sauternes wine barriques sourced directly from Bordeaux's most esteemed winemakers. The influence of the luscious French dessert wine casks imparts layers of honeycomb, apricot nectar, and candied citrus that seamlessly integrate with Bowmore's signature gentle peat smoke and maritime salinity. Bottled at a robust 48% ABV, this release is housed in a bespoke heavy book-style presentation case with gold wave detailing and magnetic enclosure. A centerpiece bottle for collectors of high-end Islay single malts and connoisseurs of aged wine-cask finishes. --- INCLUDED IN THIS LOT: * 1x Bowmore 22 Years Old Sauternes Cask Finish Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700 ml | 48% ABV) * Original luxury book-style presentation display case --- LOT SPECIFICATIONS & CONDITION: * Brand / Distillery: Bowmore Distillery (Isle of Islay, Scotland) * Owner: Beam Suntory * Category: Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky * Series: Travel Exclusive Series * Age Statement: 22 Years Old * Cask Maturation: American Oak Ex-Bourbon Casks, finished in French Sauternes Wine Barriques * Volume: 700 ml (0.7 Litre / 70 cl) * Strength: 48% ABV * Bottle Condition: Pristine collector condition.
