Bright beach. Spanish school. 20th century

Descriptio Oil on canvas. Dimensions: 116 x 87 cm. The coastal scene, bathed in intense Mediterranean light, depicts figures and parasols naturally distributed on the sand. The light, vibrant brushstrokes, along with the warm colors and atmospheric mastery, reveal a clear connection to the Valencian Luminist tradition inherited from Sorolla. The open and rhythmic composition blends the figures into the vibrating light, while the reflections on the sea lend depth and serenity. The brushwork, characterized by remarkable gestural freedom, combines direct observation and chromatic sensitivity, placing the work within the Mediterranean Impressionism of the 20th century. Its overall effect conveys joy, clarity, and a profound love for nature and everyday life. Due to its age and history of use, this lot may show signs of wear and previous interventions. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, no specialized technical testing has been performed. The absence of any mention of restorations does not guarantee that none exist.
