Bronze Age Bronze Flat Axe Head 2nd millennium BC - 11.6 cm

Flat Bronze Axe Head - Bronze Age A flat axe head with an elongated body widening towards a gently curved cutting edge. The narrower butt has rounded corners, and the broad faces retain an uneven green and brown surface. There is no visible shaft hole or socket. This is a hafted axe-head form rather than a stone hand axe. Its simple profile belongs to a widespread family of early metal axes and does not, by itself, establish a specific European or Near Eastern culture. Material: Copper alloy, described as bronze Dimensions: 11.6 cm length Weight: 198.4 gr Provenance: Acquired in the Netherlands from a German collection. We guarantee the authenticity of the pieces, backed by the combined experience of our experts spanning more than 40 years. A Certificate of Authenticity (CoA) will be sent digitally by email. This item has been legally acquired under European Law.
