Ca. 1200 - 800 BC. A bronze stag protome from a rhyton, cast with a tapering cylindrical neck and a forward-facing head. The muzzle is tubular, with pointed ears, circular eyes, and curved horns above the head. A ribbed collar encircles the neck, and a large cylindrical spout rises behind it. The lower section terminates in a tubular outlet. Size: 100mm x 95mm; Weight: 510g Provenance: From a private UK collection; previously held by I.H., whose collection was assembled from the 1970s onwards.
