Bronze sculpture of a boy with a dolphin. Italian School. Early 19th century.

Descriptio Cast bronze with a brown patina. Dimensions: 78 x 50 cm. The winged child figure tenderly holds a dolphin, a symbol of love and rebirth, in a composition of great balance and elegance. The anatomical modeling and serene facial expression demonstrate a high level of technique and neoclassical sensibility. The polished surface and the delicacy of the volumes reflect the Italian sculptural tradition of the early 19th century, heir to Renaissance idealism. This piece, of considerable dimensions, combines the symbolic power of bronze with the aesthetic purity of classicism, constituting a work of outstanding artistic quality. Due to its age and history of use, this lot may show signs of wear and previous interventions. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, no specialized technical testing has been performed.
